just South of Tena we collected three Hesperocharis nera that would belong to two different subspecies ; these two, with a dotted  black rim on the HWUP, would be H. n. nera, while the other one, with a stronger and solid rim, would be H. n. amazonica from the Amazon basin ...


and the same thing happens in the South of Sangay NP where we found the same two phenotypes flying near Méndez.
