Lindra simulius is a true rarity (identified by Pierre Boyer and Bernard Hermier) ;
only three specimens are known, two from Peru and one from Bolivia, and of course the specimen we collected in Sangay NP, South East of Palora.
this butterfly, found at Pimpilala, would be the second record from Ecuador.
