the only recent publication that we know of is by Seraphim (2014) whose work includes the DNA sequencing of nearly all known species, but with a particular focus on Brasilian fauna.
today our identifications are based exclusively on the butterflies morphology, and will undoubtedly fall to pieces when we have some sequencing of our specimens.
these identification problems are particularly thorny with the cucullina - pimpla - maimoune Group.
we found this Genus all over Ecuador North East, but not above 2300 m.
