it is the Ecuadorian subspecies that we saw from Sucumbíos to Zamora Chinchipe, and that also flies in Peru ; but we also found the Colombian subspecies Mechanitis messenoides messenoides from the North down to Apuya, South of Tena and then down to Macas, Morona Santiago ; one more instance of two "subspecies", sympatric for 300 km, and we didn't see any intermediate form.
